Cooperation in the fields of education, sports, and tourism
There are 40 inter-university agreements between educational institutions in Belarus and Georgia, under which joint scientific, pedagogical, and educational projects are carried out.
Students from both countries regularly participate in scientific, practical, educational, and other events:
Georgian Technical University – in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Promising Areas of Innovative Development and Personnel Training”;
BGAM – participation in the second international vocal competition “Opera's Golden Voice.”
Joint scientific and technical projects are being implemented:
BSU with the Institute of Zoology at I. Chavchavadze University – joint research in the field of geography and species composition of the dragonfly order.
Up-to-date information is exchanged between educational institutions in the Republic of Belarus and Georgia.Currently, 84 Georgian students are studying at Belarusian universities.
Cooperation between Belarus and Georgia in the field of sports continues to develop. Athletes from Belarus and Georgia regularly participate in competitions held in each other's countries, training camps, and friendly matches in various sports.
On July 18, 2025, Nikolai Rogaschuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Georgia, attended a beach soccer match between the national teams of Belarus and Georgia in Batumi. The Belarusian beach soccer team played its first match in the Euroleague group stage and defeated the Turkish team 12:1.
In August 2025, the Bakuriani sports complex hosted the Belarusian women's national biathlon team.
