Information about foreign documents
Dear fellow citizen!
Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, please carefully read the information below.
The Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Citizenship of the Republic of Belarus” establishes your obligation to report the existence or acquisition of citizenship of a foreign state, a residence permit, or any other document of a foreign state that grants privileges and other benefits in connection with political or religious views or nationality.
You can find the list of required documents and the procedure for submitting them by clicking on link (https://belarusfacts.by/ru/belarus/consul/foreigndocuments/).
If you are abroad, you should provide this information to the Belarusian embassy or consulate; if you are in Belarus, you should provide it to the citizenship and migration department at your place of registration or residence.
In addition to visiting in person, you can contact the foreign affairs office by email via the service https://обращения.бел. If this service is not available to you, you can send your documents by email to the Embassy georgia@mfa.gov.by).
Without submitting the notification and other documents specified on the website, the information shall not be considered provided.
If you have provided the Embassy with complete information (a correctly completed notification and attachments thereto), you will be issued or sent a notification bearing the seal of the foreign mission and the signature of a consular officer.
Please note that if you contact a foreign institution by mail, you are advised to additionally provide:
prepaid and completed return envelope or pay for return postage;
a copy of your passport (page 31 and the page with your photo) or ID card. This will enable the foreign affairs agency to verify your identity more quickly and send you a notification, meaning you will meet the deadlines set by law.
Sincerely,
Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Georgia.
