Ambassador of Belarus meets at the Parliament of Georgia

Nikolai Rogaschuk, Ambassador of Belarus to Georgia, held a meeting with Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on International Affairs and head of the Georgian parliamentary delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Chair of the Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government of the Parliament of Georgia, Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Parliament of the Republic of Belarus Irakli Kadagishvili.

During the meeting, the parties engaged in a thorough exchange of views on current issues of bilateral interparliamentary cooperation. The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in consistently strengthening interparliamentary ties as an important component of Belarusian-Georgian relations, emphasizing the importance of regular contacts, the exchange of experience, and cooperation on issues of mutual interest, including collaboration within the framework of international parliamentary organizations.

Following the meeting, priority areas for further cooperation were identified, and an agreement was reached to intensify working-level contacts aimed at further developing constructive political dialogue and strengthening the bilateral partnership between the Parliamentary Friendship Groups of the Reublic of Belarus and Georgia.
