Ambassador of Belarus to Georgia met with the Mayor of Rustavi

Nikolai Rogashchuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Georgia, held a meeting with Nino Latsabidze, Mayor of Rustavi.

During the meeting, the parties held a thorough exchange of views on the full range of bilateral issues, with an emphasis on intensifying interregional cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of strengthening cooperation between Rustavi and its Belarusian sister city, Zhodino. The parties identified the expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as the deepening of mutually beneficial contacts in the fields of culture, education, sports, and tourism, as priority areas.

The Head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission delivered a comprehensive presentation on the export potential of the Republic of Belarus, highlighting promising areas for increasing mutual trade. In turn, the Belarusian Ambassador to Georgia was presented with a detailed overview of Rustavi’s economic and sociocultural potential.

Following the meeting, the parties noted the existence of significant potential for substantially strengthening interregional ties. The two sides confirmed their mutual readiness to facilitate the practical implementation of the discussed initiatives across a wide range of areas.
